Last Soul Standing - Marabel Chanin

Today, I am starting a new astrological series called The Cardinal Crisis: Stories From the Hood.

This series will feature the real world and how global transits have, and will, impact society globally.

I would like to be more positive, but the events of the world is not trending that way.

I cannot say that many stories I would like to tell are going to be feel good tales, for some are clearly not.

This is one of those stories.

I do hope that through revelation, that while telling real stories, about real souls and their communities, that I am able to offer some solutions in tandem with explaining the global astrological influences and their implications for the future.

However, I have to say that it does not look good. Unless human beings wake up, the astrological prophecies will come true, and this will alter the destiny of the planet.

Money will not save you. Title will not save you. You class in life will not save you.

What will save you is your heart, your love, your understanding, and your good acts.

In my first story in this astrological series, I would like to tell all of you a very sad tale about an American woman named Marabel Chanin. She once lived on a quaint residential block in the city of Detroit in the United States.

Born the only child of Jewish parents with no close relatives, Marabel resided in Detroit her entire life and said she outlived all the people she once knew.

She did not even know her neighbors because she didn't have any.

In fact, she had no neighbors on her street.

Not a single soul.

That is, except for the single five-foot soul of Marabel Chanin.

In August 2008, Ms. Chanin, an unmarried and childless woman, called a Detroit news channel's "problem solvers" line for help.

Listen - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_ap5GRopHs&feature=related

If you noticed, the television reporter talked about "getting her out" of the neighborhood, but Marabel did not want to go - she wanted something done.

You see, this is a very important point. In Detroit, most of the Caucasians who fled the city after the racial riots of the late 1960s, did just that - they got out.

But, those who stayed saw their communities decline greatly. Marabel's block, her community, is not a single case, but one of many throughout Detroit and the United States, where entire communities, of residential and business districts, are left to rot.

And they continue to rot to this very day.

This is the general theme of a generation that thinks any problem will simply go away if you close your eyes to it and ignore it.

For months, in Marabel's case - like in all the others - nothing happened.

That's what you can expect from a generation that doesn't give a shit.

Then, on the day after Christmas 2008, this occurred - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmOKKXFktB8&NR=1

When Marabel died in her Detroit home at the age of 88 on December 26, 2008, her body laid unclaimed, for five months, in Detroit's Wayne County morgue.

The city had no money to pay for her burial.

Until good people who heard her story stepped forward.

See her tragic funeral on May 21, 2009 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYY9sL1yzYU&feature=related

After Marabel died, vandals destroyed her home and trashed her belongings. This was the last house on the block that contained the living soul of Marabel Chanin.

These are photos that were found on her lawn afterward - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=37347985&PIpi=24618703

Is this what has become of America?

Rather than to move, Ms. Chanin wanted something done about her community, her block, which looks as if battles had taken place on it.

Born January 31, 1921, Marabel moved into her house on Robinwood Avenue at the age of 43 in 1964. The neighborhood was a classic beauty of neat trees, gardens, and lined with brick bungalow houses that were built in the 1920s.

Located in northwestern Detroit the neighborhood borders a golf course, a country club and was deemed a safe, quiet and pretty community. Less than 45 years later it looked like parts of Berlin just after the Second World War.

A victim of Saturn's scourge through Virgo, which she was born with in her personal transits, Marabel Chanin also had Jupiter in Virgo, and Uranus in Pisces. When she died, her progressed Mars was conjoined to the fixed star Algol.

Seven years before her death in 2008, she went through a progressed lunar eclipse in Scorpio, which saw the speeding up of the destruction of the community she had lived in for 45 years.

It is almost mind boggling that from 1964 to 2008 that Marabel was the last person left on her block of Robinwood.

Looking like many other neighborhoods in Detroit the corrupted homes literally fell apart with burned-out and hollowed structures giving way to thieves, prostitution, and drugs.

Living in fear, Marabel suffered through countless sleepless nights hearing gunshots, screams, and strange voices on her block. Having no neighbors, she feared she would die alone.

She did, they said, of natural causes due to a heart attack. However, we can surmise that the last years of her life on her block contributed to her failing health as few people - the city, state, or federal "leaders" made any attempt to reconstruct the neighborhood that had been left to die as Marabel was left to die.

This is not a single case, as we are certain that there are more Marabels out there. But, as we gaze at the urban blight that is the city of Detroit, one wonders just what the hell is going on?

So, in this story from the "hood," let's take a real look at Detroit, shall we?

Transit Thoughts -

Seeing how transiting Uranus in Pisces is now bringing to an end the 20th century, stories like this are coming in from around the world.

Uranus is used as a timer in mundane astrology, along with the other outer planets. The last time Uranus was in Pisces was in the decade of the 1920s, when Marabel Chanin was born.

Back in the year 1920, Saturn and Uranus opposed one another on the Pisces/Virgo axis, and this is again where they are now opposing one another. So it is not a surprise that the conditions that we see in Detroit are peaking at this time.

We are seeing the end of a era. The 20th century, for all intensive purposes, was a bloody and shitty century of wars, extreme selfishness, complacency, and systemic economic and societal heartlessness that has come to an fitting end with the closing transit of Uranus in Pisces.

What is so tragic about the story of Ms. Marabel Chanin is the fact that Americans who felt for her could not find a way to fix this problem.

It is as if people cry their crocodile tears, and shake their heads about how sad it all is, and then go on their merry ways as if nothing had happened.

We are losing souls to greed, corruption and cold-bloodymindedness that must be fought against with the same ruthlessness that has been exercised on good people everywhere.

This is a serious crisis of morality for many Americans who, under the establishment of Baby Boomers seem to fear and attack children - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_viL3_FAMxQ&feature=fvw - more than they fear the close-at-home complacency that is no feeling for others - until it is too late.

What good can Teddy Bears, and Internet digital cards do for Marabel now that she has passed on?

Her body laid unclaimed in a morgue for five months before anyone took notice. Even the city of Detroit could not afford to give the woman a decent burial.

What is certain is that something much more substantial must be done to rebuild a country and its cities that is literally falling apart as a corrupted generation continues to feed themselves untold profits for fear of never aging themselves.

It is a crime that in a young country like the United States that a generation which have been running things as the establishment since the 1990s does not want to open its eyes and fix these kinds of severe urban and societal problems left to fester for nearly two decades.

Why would the Baby Boomers allow this to happen? Do they not have hearts?

What does it say about a generation that would allow cities as large as Detroit to crumble in front of the eyes of the world?

What does it say about entire cities and their communities that are left to fall apart?

What does it say about a generation that would allow a Marabel Chanin to die, in her home, alone, on Christmas, on a block where she was the only soul left living?

It says that the future is bleak unless the current generation now in power gets the hell out of the way because they've done no good. We don't need another hero. What we need are leaders and the Baby Boomers surely are not it.

That's what it says.

Forecast: March 2010 - Early Bird Gets The Worm

It's nearly that time.

After a horrid two-and-a-half years, the new astrological year arrives on March 20, 2010, and officially kicks off what is going to be an historic solar year for the world.

Are you ready?

You better be, because global transits are ready for you.

On February 28, Jupiter conjoins the Sun in Pisces and emerges from its far side, rising in the predawn skies in the months of March and April.

This is a sign to get yourself on the move and to make concrete plans for the new decade that is just now on the horizon.

Because 2010 is such a powerful transition year for many people, the months from March through June are best used by putting your plans into action months ahead of what you would usually do.

Why?

Transits.

For one, the first half of 2010 will feel like a fast year from now to about early August, but will slow down significantly due to Jupiter's retrograde (mid-July to mid-November) causing most people to fall behind after the Cardinal Crisis months of July and August and into the long drawn out second half of the year.

Jupiter's speedy transit through tropical Pisces from March to its retrograde July 23 provides some people with the opportunities of a lifetime.

Seek out and notice openings in all kinds of areas from the personal to the professional and be keen on creating new situations that reflect your true lifestyle and aspirations. New doors will open as others close.

Think about what you want, see it in your mind's eye, and then have your physical eyes and ears primed to recognize those very things appearing around you in the material world.

Look for them, and you will find them in reality. Be ready, willing and able to reach out for these opportunities and take hold of everything. You will need survive on all you can grasp for the remainder of this year.

By the time of Jupiter's retrograde in early Aries in late July 2010, some plans will have to take a backseat of review through to mid-November 2010.

Jupiter's position in Aries, along with Uranus in mid-2010, is a preview of 2011, so anything you've started to plan on by this time through the rest of 2010 should be seen as just that - preparations - but do not act on them until March 2011.

Wait through the rest of 2010, be patient, continue to plan, organize, and fine-tune.

The period between mid-July to mid-November 2010 is a time to relax, to kick back, reassess, review, recharge and use the months from July, August, September, October through to mid-November to plan for the year 2011 while you enjoy the fruits of your hard early bird work in 2010.

However, for those who waited too long to get some basic goals and objectives accomplished - it's going to be another tough year of delays, frustrations, recriminations and forced changes in lifestyle across the board.

The only way to change this is to either take everything on the chin, or try to make a break for it by using the first half of 2010 to create those changes that sparks positive results via action in your life.

Rather than enduring more of the same old negativity - with others making messes for you to deal with alone. These are large-scale problems produced by people out of your direct control.

The transit of Jupiter in 2010, for people with favorable positions, allows for significant progress into the year 2011 that signals a crossroads has been reached.

Jupiter's transit opens the door to a new road of possibilities and potentials into the middle years of the 2010s.

Those who use these opportunities will be at a great advantage over those who do not. Have a need for speed? You should.

Because speed is of the essence in 2010 as multiple rich opportunities will appear quickly. Be on the ball and on your toes - ready to take on the risks that appear this year.

Another reason is the Cardinal Crisis transits of July and August 2010. I cannot stress the importance of taking this particular summer off because of the powerful global transits of those two months in the northern hemisphere.

There is simply too much cardinal energy packed into those two month to get a lot accomplished, but the inclinations see people trying to do just that - forcing matters too much, too soon (and in some cases too late) thereby causing even more problems than they solve in the process.

Coping With Spring In Northern Hemisphere

After a very active winter season in the hemisphere most people will have been up to their snowed-in necks of cabin fever as spring approaches. For most in the U.S., for example, two-thirds of the country experienced their best snowfalls in many winters recently with several blizzards one after another.

The lack of sunlight, cold weather, and many weeks spent indoors causes problems as spring approaches in March and early April.

Most people tend to act out mentally and emotionally in the weeks right after a vernal equinox. The tilting of the Earth's northern half away from the Sun as the Earth moves towards equinox causes the human brain to shift - requiring more energy to remain balanced.

Anyone who is unbalanced has a bad habit of reacting poorly to the first signs of increased days of sunlight as well as the tilt of the Earth leading up to, and just after, the vernal equinox. This happens in March and lasts to about mid-April.

Accidents due to weak concentration, impulsive acts, snappy tempers, being argumentative, exercising poor judgment and a tendency to rush without thinking - all this is common during this time of year.

During the winter months the reduced lack of sunlight decreases Vitamin D and the amount of serotonin people produce - a vitamin and hormone that makes people feel happier and at ease.

Called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) it is a disorder of depression directly connected to the seasonal variations of sunlight. This disorder is also chained to the increased production of melatonin, which is a sleep hormone secreted by the human brain's pineal gland.

When people spend months in the dark, without sunlight, or proper indoor artificial light, melatonin production picks up.

Most people sleep longer hours over the winter months and eat more. The loss of sunlight makes people feel sad, depressed, anxious, irritable and tired with a tendency to argue and have short tempers.

Body clocks are timed to the rise and fall of the sun, so with the declined sunlight in the northern hemisphere during winter, people feel unbalanced as the Earth begins to tilt towards the equinox when day and night are nearly equal in length.

This spring will see negative, and seemingly illogical behavior because many people will have spent months indoors, deprived of sunlight, so people who are stressed out to the max will react to the max. Expect to observe this happening as mid-March and early April nears.

The best way to deal with this is to improve one's diet as well as spending the hours between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside during the late winter months.

A bad diet during the winter months is consuming too much soda, tea, and coffee because these stress out the adrenal glands that help people cope with stress.

Any kind of sugary drinks and foods will not help you to ward off the winter blues. Rather, you attacking your own adrenal glands and are making the situation worse.

A good diet that wards off the effects of a lack of sunlight and Vitamin D is to add fish rich in Omega 3 to your diet. Cherries help as well.

Avocados, linseed, beans, bananas, wheat germ, porridge oats, brown rice and wholemeal pasta - all these foods help increase serotonin.

Beans and rice is a good meal to have during the month of March, and taking time to spend outside in the Sun to gradually build up Vitamin D with exercise and walking helps to ward off the winter blues and cabin fever.

Drinking more water and non-caffeinated drinks keep the human body hydrated.

The economic crisis and loss of millions of jobs along with the overall economic stresses only add to the general tension people will experience in the northern hemisphere in March, and April.

Be aware of this, and try to avoid people who show signs of extreme grumpiness, which is common. Also avoid sensitive topics during this time. It is not the season to debate politics, religion, to have "house meetings," or have that "relationship talk." People are simply wound too tight.

Cabin fever is not an easy thing to deal with, but many people have exacerbated the problem by having a poor diet and not using the proper artificial light during the winter months.

Fights will break out, and some people will react so badly as to do things they would normally never do that will result in cases of violence as a result of SAD and the return of increased sunlight as the Earth nears the vernal equinox.

The most dangerous time is between March 10 through to mid-April.

According to my forecast, this spring and summer will arrive earlier than normal as climate conditions quickly improve with near summer-like temperatures by May 2010; surprising meteorologists and the public alike.

Many people will be shocked by how early summer temperatures will have appeared on the scene before the month of June.

Get yourself up and about. Get healthy, improve your diet, turn off the television, look around the house, and get busy as a bee using Jupiter's direct motion to jump start the coming new astrological year.

Form a positive frame of mind in March to tell yourself that it's about time you get on with it and make some proactive things happen so that this solar new year of 2010 will be one of the best.

You deserve it and so does your family. Remember that positive energy creates more positive energy.

The year from March to June is the best time to pick up one's pace before the months of July & August arrive with the Cardinal Crisis transits.

Here's a General Schedule -

March through mid-April 2010

Transits are excellent to about the time of Mercury's retrograde (April 17 - May 11) with Mercury slow until it reaches its Rx station degree point on May 29th.

The period of time between March to April 17 allows for action for those who want to get ahead of the troublesome transits of spring.

Far too many people are seeking the same things: jobs, moving, and money, at the same time by the time Mercury retrogrades in Taurus from mid-April through to May.

Using the time from March to mid-April well means getting into action gear and making things happen before Mercury's retrograde begins and slows progress for some through to late May.

Venus' transit in Gemini from April 25 to May 19 indicates that the public's mood will be frustrating for the most part; especially by the third week of May 2010 when Venus squares Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces, and also squares Saturn in Virgo.

Venus in Gemini shows a very busy, but difficult time for many. Plans are thwarted by a lack of focus. Communications are muddled with unreliable people not showing up for appointments, to help with moving, and missing chores and responsibilities.

Again, far too many people try to get too many things done, but with too little patience, scant resources and not enough healthy support - so frustration builds because of the lack of organization, with breakdowns in communications, and disappointments in people in general.

After the worst economic crisis since the 1930s, people will not be the mood to see their most basic plans stymied in the least.

To avoid these problems - use the month of March to do those things you would do in April and May and make certain that you accomplish them no matter what.

Those who do this will feel much better by the time May rolls around and see what troubles others are having because they waited too long.

We should be seeing signs in world news of increasing public outrage, anger and violence in the waning days of February into the early days of March with the start of the Full Moon Week in Virgo starting Feb. 28th.

These are early signs of increasingly frustrated people who've had enough as inclinations continue to push on towards the Cardinal Crisis transits of July & August 2010.

Mars' retrograde in Leo is coming to an end, as Saturn's retrograde in the early degrees of Libra continues towards its final two oppositions to Uranus this year.

Transiting Venus will enter tropical Aries on March 7th, and during the second week of March will oppose Saturn declining in Libra. Expect to hear stories of previous battles on school campuses along with continued attacks at home and abroad in the news.

Speaking of Saturn
: the planet re-enters Virgo on April 7 for the last time. Anyone with a Saturn contact, such as those experiencing their Saturn Returns in the early degrees of Libra and late degrees of Virgo will certainly feel this strong transit.

Saturn conducts its fourth opposition to Uranus beginning April 26 on the 28/29th degrees of the Virgo/Pisces axis and the stresses of the economic crisis reach a peak with personal and social situations highlighted through to September.

The "new" versus the "old" is always featured with Saturn/Uranus oppositions. From the looks of it, the outgoing Baby Boomer establishment of today are getting a taste of what they dished out in the 1960s during the last Saturn/Uranus opposition, and they don't like it much.

Seems the astrological saying remains true to form: what goes around does indeed come around.

There are budding conflicts everywhere, from local, to regional, to global with many of the same themes from 2008 and 2009 unresolved, with lots of emotional, personal, and political garbage floating around and clogging up most of the drains.

The immaturity, grumpiness, attacks, lack of agreement, can't agree to disagree, name-calling, no teamwork in sight, rigidity, ranting, raving, upheavals, downheartedness, eye-balled shouting, the temper-tantrums, violence, hypocrisy, and extremely spoiled behavior just boggles the mind.

One feature of the Saturn/Uranus opposition and combined transits seems to be a total lack of understanding and flexibility among grumpy youth-hating Baby Boomers who have completely lost touch with reality and the times.

Talk about either not getting your meds or needing some.

And these people are supposed to be the grown-ups running things?

This is 2010, right?

I know it is also a mid-term election year and all, but it looks more like Reality Lost: Dawn of the Dead IV rather than Star Trek: The Next Gen.

It's a mess. Truly. But, it won't last. Those who continue to be stuck flailing in the outworn behaviors of the past are about to be soon left in the dustbins of it. That much is certain.

During the spring and summer months, living situations with family, friends, and roommates are stressed and there are resentments, conflicts and recriminations which really are heightened personal frustrations being projected onto the people who are closest.

This extends to school campuses, work places, meeting places, well, just about everywhere people gather.

This is a time when tempers fly freely and relationships that are not stable run the gamut from extremely petty to hostile to outright violent.

Interactions with people living together in close quarters means it is time to move on. The month of March is a lot better to get this done than waiting until April, May or June.

People are in an uproar with the warmer weather. The same tensions that were evident in 2009 return with a vengeance, only this time people really have had a serious case of cabin fever and are in no mood to be friendly in the least.

Grumpiness begins to reach an all-time high and transcends onto another level by the time of the Cardinal Crisis transits when Saturn and Uranus perform their fifth opposition by late July 2010.

Now that it is Spring in the northern hemisphere, tempers run short, and frustrations are high. It is time to move along. Relationships that have outworn their usefulness come to an unfavorable end for many.

There's a lot of movement over the spring months, but financial concerns and economic stresses will have put a serious damper on the ability of people to actually do the things that they want to do.

These frustrations build throughout the months from mid-April to late May, and then continue into the Cardinal Crisis transits of July and August.

However, those who use the time from March to mid-April very well, and then pick up where they left off by late May to June 25 will have done themselves a great favor and should be sitting pretty just before the Cardinal Crisis transits arrive by July.

March 2010 should be used to act quickly during the month to get any goals and objectives into action as soon as possible. The direct motion of Mars on March 10 indicates a need to push out quickly and to make things happen - the earlier, the better.

I consider March to be a easier month than April, so anyone reading this should use the month of March extremely well to get their plans into gear.

Try not to allow any of your plans to be put off by procrastinating, sitting on your hands, or waiting for warmer weather to begin the process of moving up and moving on.

Avoid unreliable people who delay your interests that should be attended to immediately if you want to get your year off to a good and positive start.

Unfortunately, expect some people you once thought highly of to disappoint you as being unreliable, lazy and hypocritical. This is one of the sad influences of the Saturn/Uranus opposition that has been in effect since late 2008.

There is no time to argue, or to try to convince those who are slow to get themselves active to help, or to join you. If they are not ready then you must go it alone and get the job done. The transits of March are simply too valuable to waste.

However, the Saturn/Uranus opposition will come to an end by November 2010, so anyone who has been unreliable will realize (much too late) that they got the short end of the stick - not you.

It is essential to befriend and work only with people who are reliable and who are able to see past the short-term and think and act medium and long-term. These are the kinds of people you will want to associate yourself closely with in the 2010s.

Think proactively and get down to action in the month of March.

Move and get yourself positioned this year, earlier than normal, so that by the time summer does arrive, you will saved yourself the equivalent of four (4) months - simply by getting down to brass tacks in March and making things happen.

This will also mean that you will be several months ahead of the crowd because you got up off the couch, packed up, found a new place, and made your moves before most people.

Navigate well in March. Some people will be taking off for Spring Break. The wisest people will use this time to get things accomplished and use March constructively.

It is not a time for taking a vacation, but for creating your own opportunities with the help of the transits of March.

April 2010 is a trickier month. This is because the month starts off with a Mercury-Venus-Mars square from Taurus to Leo indicating that financial matters create tensions between friends, family and associates.

Then, by April 7, Saturn re-enters Virgo and ten days later, Mercury retrogrades in Taurus and reforms another series of square aspects to Mars in Leo again at the end of April. People can tend towards mental irritation and because of this arguments emerge.

There are problems in business matters and communications overall, along with impulsiveness and setbacks that are increased because of Mercury's retrograde during the month.

Most of April is a month of money concerns. The warmer weather with the onset of spring and the cabin fever has emotions running high.

People generally are too anxious, too impatient, and unwilling to be flexible considering the general economic climate.

Patience is called for, but the inclinations are strong - as many people think only of themselves and want to make progress right now - no matter what. In this climate, projects, plans, relocating, relationships, etc., all are jammed into a season where not much progress can be made under the transit environment of April and May.

Fights break out with the Mercury/Venus to Mars squares, and the Mercury retrograde, along with Saturn's fourth opposition to Uranus creates an atmosphere that is unbalanced, impulsive, and headstrong.

All of this makes the month of March much better to use to gain the upper hand and get ahead of these coming transits.

If you need to change positions, or find a new job, to change relationships, or to move, then the month of March is better than April and May when most people will attempt to do those very things under challenging transits.

Also remember that the Cardinal Crisis transits of July & August will put a serious damper on the summer fun of 2010, which is not the best summer traditionally.

Travel is unfavorable this summer, and the tensions of this summer 2010 has all the markers of a ruined season simply because of the impulsive cardinal inclinations and reactionary behaviors of many people.

Wait until the summer of 2011 to do the things you would normally do as that summer is much better than the one coming up this year.

This year, of 2010, is best used to transition, to pre-position yourself for next year's action.

Use the month of March 2010 to quietly ease yourself from situations that are outworn, or which show signs of increasing tension, and trouble. Rather, get yourself into a calm, quiet place, where you can think, and plan in peace for the very active transits of 2011.

You will be doing yourself a huge favor in the process.

The last best date in March to get things done is March 25, because the last week of March is a bit stressful with the coming of the Full Moon in Libra on March 30.

So, if you want to make significant progress and avoid the muddier transits of April & May - and the negative transits of summer 2010 - then the month of March is it.

My forecast motto for March - Early bird gets the worm.

The Cardinal Climax of 2010: Forecasts, Warnings & Tactics

Years ago, back when I forecasted about the coming global crisis I used to get messages from people who said I was making my forecasts up; that the economy was humming along just fine; that I was a "gloom and doomer," and that astrological forecasting was a "pseudo-science" and "nothing but bunk."

People asked why I forecasted such things. It was never going to happen they said. A global economic crisis?

My answer was, and still is, hey pal, I just work here.

I read astrological transits and report exactly what I see. I never make anything up. I try to keep a little of what I know to myself because if I really laid out to people what I saw of the future most people would totally freak out.

My forecasts are never my opinion. Just heed the forecasts, and get real because transits arrive on time - all the time.

That's the way it is for mundane astrologers. The things we know as opposed to the lies told in the media, and the spins turned over constantly by policymakers, speculators and media pundits to gain a point or two in the polls or to turn a fast trade into ill-gotten gains, or to use opinion as a forecast when it is nothing of the sort.

Global transits care nothing about "polls," nor do they care about trades, or one's personal dispositions, ideologies and opinions.

The Sun, the Moon, planets and stars are about the only honest bodies around these days, and when they incline - they do so without opinion, without ideology, and yes, they are always on time.

I knew this over 20 years ago when I saw these times coming. It's been a long time because few people believed me when I told them that the world was going to become a very strange place right after the turn of the century and that corruption, greed, and ideology would been seen as superior to honesty, truth and justice.

Astrologers and those knowledgeable of planetary transits have become more aware of what is called the Cardinal Climax, or Cardinal Cross transits of 2010.

The T-square involving Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto has also been called the Grand Cross.

While some continue to argue about the labels used for the T-square alignment of July and August 2010, what is most important are the inclinations.

I call this T-square alignment the Cardinal Climax, because it is a climax of the previous events and very bad decisions made over the decades of the 1980s, 1990s and the 2000s. This is now coming home to roost for the entire planet.

These cardinal inclinations work both ways - it closes the door on the events of the last 30 years, while also opening up the cardinal inclinations of a new decade.

But make no mistake about it, the cardinal transits of July & August 2010 is a climax of the past three decades, and this same crisis will continue into the new decade of the 2010s. It is the effect of the root causes of past corruption and greed on massive levels affecting whole nations.

For no matter what terms are used to describe the configuration: what is certain is that it leads into a powerful decade of significant challenges for the world at large.

I believe in good people. I think people ought to have a fighting chance, and opportunities to better their own lives, and the lives of their loved ones, friends, associates and colleagues. I believe in freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

So, when I see good people and their families getting the short end of the stick I get angry. When I see people playing head games in very serious times - I get pissed off.

The New York Times has a new series on the economic crisis and the challenges Americans face called, The New Poor -

Millions of Unemployed Face Years Without Jobs

"Even as the American economy shows tentative signs of a rebound, the human toll of the recession continues to mount, with millions of Americans remaining out of work, out of savings and nearing the end of their unemployment benefits.

Economists fear that the nascent recovery will leave more people behind than in past recessions, failing to create jobs in sufficient numbers to absorb the record-setting ranks of the long-term unemployed.

Call them the new poor: people long accustomed to the comforts of middle-class life who are now relying on public assistance for the first time in their lives — potentially for years to come."

In this post, I will offer some ways to help to soften the blows of the present crisis, as well as alternatives to counter the Cardinal Climax transits, and the transits of the 2010s.

One of the most important things to remember about the changing times is that nothing will be the same for many people heading into this new decade. Those people who accept this, and work to create their own futures will do better than those who do not.

Why Astrological Forecasts Are Important

As a mundane astrologer, I am aware that some astrologers would prefer not to talk about the Cardinal Crisis transits in ways they believe may alarm the public. My view is that before the advent of the Banking Crisis of 2008, astrological warnings were issued publicly before the current economic crisis ensued.

Few astrologers made these forecasts but were critical of those who made them. The majority of astrologers did not because they obviously did not believe in the predictive nature of astrology.

This has always been one of my criticisms of astrology as it has been practiced generally since the 1980s. That many were far too involved in individualized psychological astrology for 30 years, rather than in forecasting. The danger of this is that one looks only at the present, but is not interested enough to focus on the future.

Few listened or heeded the long-range forecasts. Some practicing astrologers ignored the warnings themselves, preferring to keep a glaze of false positivism over their own eyes rather than to forecast honestly and directly without fear.

Some astrologers are afraid of coming off sounding "apocalyptic" as if forecasting such big global shifts mean that the world is going to end. We see this in the popular culture myths and misunderstandings of the Mayan Calendar, the year 2012, or the works of the mundane astrologer Nostradamus, for instance.

Others denounced the warnings as doom and gloom, thereby rejecting mundane astrology rather than embracing it. It was surprising to me, after the events of 1999-2001 that even after the events of those years, some astrologers continued to avoid mundane astrology.

Those who tried to forecast in this area had little experience and knowledge and so failed to see the economic crisis coming that has now gripped the entire planet.

Because of all this most people were not ready in the slightest for what was to come. Now that time is here and the public is feeling it big time. These are life-changing transits.

One of the advantages I have is that as a journalist I have witnessed large-scale disasters personally covering such events, and know that these things do happen and are not fiction.

Even in the age of 24-hour news and television coverage it is shocking how many people continue to objectify global events because they are personally unable to come to terms with the reality of the world as it is and with history itself.

Some astrologers have problems facing large-scale real world events dealt with specifically in mundane astrology, as they impact large groups of people and populations. I find this surprising in light of our post September 11th world.

Forecasts are always made in advance so people have time to prepare, to adjust, and to have the space to neutralize transits by use of their free will. This is the ultimate goal of astrology.

It is not to entertain, nor to take lightly, or to reject because forecasts do not meet one's personal dispositions, ideologies, or personal beliefs.

Forecasts; especially those of the mundane kind, are made to help, so people can have as much time as possible to adjust, to prepare, and to shift their goals and objectives so the effects of prior bad choices, corruption, greed, and unpreparedness made by others, and inclined by large-scale planetary inclinations - can be effectively neutralized.

This is not easy to accomplish when the crowd is saying and doing one thing while you are saying and doing another. But that is the very nature of mundane forecasts.

Mundane astrology is not for the weak of mind, nor is it for those who do not want to face reality but who would rather have simplistic views of global transits so that their comfortable lives and predispositions are not therefore disturbed.

The Banking and real estate crisis has disturbed everything and has led to another Great Recession that will outdo all other previous recessions when all is said and done.

History has continued to show that those who do not face the realities of astrology and forecasting fail to be of service to the public at large, or to their clients - until it is much too late.

Many people are now attempting to neutralize transits that have already begun. This makes it very difficult for people to make progress after they have lost jobs, homes, and the support of their communities.

Tens of millions of people search for work with double-digit unemployment raging. It is estimated that there are seven (7) people for every one (1) job available in 2010. These figures clearly represent the type of pain associated with this crisis.

See - http://inflation.us/videos.html

Timing is everything, and this is especially true of astrology. The very nature of astrology is forecasting - and those who do not understand this fact fail to provide people the time and space required to make changes that allow people to choose their own destinies - rather than others.

It is obvious that the times are turning, and that the world is at the crossroads of a new age that, with current trends, are not favorable in the least.

We can see these trends now -

  • A Great Recession/Depression
  • 15 million unemployed in the U.S.
  • Millions more unemployed worldwide
  • Rising defaults of residential & commercial properties
  • Banks failing at historic levels
  • Nations bankrupted
  • States close to bankruptcy
  • Communities deteriorating
The psychological effects on populations because of these negative events spread across entire populations and will have devastating results on the lives of billions of people. This is why astrological forecasting is important, because forecasts provide people with options before events turn against them.

Simply stating that forecasts are negative because during good times most people do not want to look ahead is a poor excuse for not planning in advance. Nor is it proper for astrologers to ever allow ideology, personal dispositions, and opinion to overrule astrological forecasts.

What you will have noticed in the financial media channels in early 2010 is a kind of fear that is not readily uttered, but that is seen in the eyes of the hosts, along with their guests who certainly are very frightened about the direction the Panic of 2008 has taken now in 2010.

The media is seeing ad revenues drop like a rock, and there's a ton of real concern these days about many not holding down their jobs much longer. This is rather common when planets such as Jupiter and Uranus reach Pisces, before making new fresh ingresses into a sign like Aries.

The year of 2009 was fixed with Jupiter in conjunction to Chiron & Neptune in Aquarius. That was the reason why many who should have taken leave were still around by the end of year. Now, all that is come to an end as Jupiter transits Pisces.

Many people who've held long-time positions in all fields are seeing their last years in their prospective jobs. We are about to see many faces leave for good and replaced by a new generation that does not have the legacy connections to the powers-that-were, that is, to those who overstayed their welcome for far too long, and in their positions - fully betrayed the American public, their stockholders, employees, their customers and communities.

Now, their gigs are about up. And it is about time.

As I've said, transits arrive on time - all the time.

These, and many other trends now clearly underway, provide the basis for the powerful inclinations of the cardinal climax transits of July & August 2010 as well as the coming global transits of the new decade just ahead.

The Cardinal Climax
: Forecasts & Warnings

The planetary configurations begin to build right after the arrival of the new astrological year that occurs on March 20, 2010, when the Sun enters Aries, and the Earth reaches the vernal equinox.

What will be most notable about the build-up towards the Cardinal inclinations in 2010 are the frustrations, temper tantrums, hotheads, and impulsive behaviors amongst supposed adults that stem from within those who are immature to their very core.

The Cardinal Climax transits feature energies that will incline reactionaries to react badly.

One will observe that pettiness, impulsive acts and ignorance flowing from people who have what I call toxic personalities. Avoid them like the plague if you want to be happy, wealthy and wise.

What follows are the significant planetary aspects from April to October 2010 -

  • April 6-7 - Pluto stations retrograde at 5-Capricorn
  • April 7, 2010 - Saturn re-enters tropical Virgo
  • April 26, 2010 - Saturn opposes Uranus (4th opposition)

  • September 14, 2010 - Mars enters Scorpio
  • September 19, 2010 - Jupiter conjoins Uranus in Pisces
  • October 8, 2010 - Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio
  • October 18, 2010 - Jupiter conjoins Uranus in Pisces
I continue to state, as I have for years, that the decade of the 2010s will be akin to the Great Depression years of the 1930s, and will, in the long-run, lead to geopolitical tensions that will change the tone and character of the early 21st century.

Most of this will come about because people were not prepared, and did not make adjustments to meet the coming inclinations.

It also has occurred because policymakers, international bankers, speculators and those in industries like residential and commercial real estate allowed themselves to believe their own fantasies - with devastating consequences for tens of millions of people worldwide.

As I've written before, the strongest months of those of July, August, and September 2010 with August being the most powerful month under these powerful cardinal inclinations.

Travel is unfavorable. There are dangerous transits during the summer vacation season in the northern hemisphere. Accidents in and around bodies of water are highlighted, from the air, and on the high seas perilous conditions exist that will lead to violent interactions, and in some cases, deaths involving large groups of people.

I continue to advise against taking chances during the months from July through September 2010 - especially in the northern hemispheric summer season. Stay close to home, and use the summer months to relax, and observe the cardinal transits in action through the world news.

The main thrust of the Cardinal Climax transits extend into the early to mid-2010s with two (2) planetary configurations that are unfavorable.

Jupiter oppose Saturn - 2010 to 2012

Business contraction continues amid large-scale generational transition. The old versus the new gives way to the "new," however, the tensions and stresses from the decade of the 1990s & 2000s will peak in this time period.

The last Jupiter/Saturn opposition took place in 1990-92 during a recession that involved the Savings & Loan Scandal (another banking crisis) that battered nations like the United States and Japan.

The coming Jupiter/Saturn opposition of 2010-2012 gives way to continued bad timing in all affairs that are centered on money and business. The tactics employed by the Baby Boomer generation to continue their assault on younger generations through careless waste of resources that do not belong to them sees a lack of support from public institutions that serve the public.

Private businesses under a Jupiter/Saturn opposition encounter lawsuits, problems in getting jobs done along with red tape associated with the Bank Crisis.

Smaller banks will fail under the crushing weight of nearly $1.4 trillion in commercial real estate defaults that begin in the year 2011. This will continue to the year 2015.

As of February 2010, it is estimated that major U.S. banks are hording as much as $860 billion dollars in excess reserves given to them by the Federal Reserve.

See interview with Professor Robert Pollin, who says the United States could help produce as many as 18 million jobs by 2012 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLVRXgJTUg0&feature=channel

As banks have continued to ponder ways to rid themselves of mountains of debt they have on their own books, the American and world economy is being held hostage to the crooks who caused the crisis.

The banks, which were bailed out by the American public, received hundreds of billions of dollars with no interest from the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department, but are holding nearly a trillion dollars by continuing to freeze credit and loans to the American public who need the money to survive.

So the same banks that were on the verge of collapse in 2008 were saved with billions in interest-free money now hording billions of dollars while allowing millions of foreclosures and bankruptcies of American homes and businesses to continue unabated.

It is the bankers who have kept high interest rates and so are forcing businesses to die bankrupt with no money or credit for small, medium and large companies. This deflationary climate has led to the loss of 8-15 million jobs in the United States alone.

This is the effect of a generation that has destroyed the underpinnings of the American economy in less than 20 years.

Economic stress from the Banking Crisis of 2007-2010 is extended into the years of 2010, 2011, and 2012, and indicate to me that until the players who caused the crisis - from Wall Street, hedge fund players, to international bankers, speculators, and policymakers - are fully removed from their positions.

I forecast that the crisis will exacerbate into the mid-2010s - giving way to revolts, rebellions and revolutions in some nations as a result.

Jupiter's opposition to Saturn between 2010-2012 also features a poor time to expand into businesses related to travel, foreign commerce, law and corporate business.

Because of this, conflicts resulting from hypocrisy, poor ethics, and lack of morals will continue to build up between partners due to the demands of bringing in more money under the restrictive conditions.

The pressures on individuals extend into personal and family relationships as well as professional associations and relationships.

The coming Jupiter/Saturn opposition begins during the Cardinal Climax transits of 2010 and will last to about the year 2012, when it wanes. However, the significance of this opposition is that other planetary bodies are involved.

Uranus square Pluto - 2012-2015

I am forecasting that seething resentments and revelations of widespread levels of corruption and greed will lead to rebellions and revolts among populations.

There are seven (7) exact squares between Uranus and Pluto within a three-year period from 2012 to 2015. These squares will bring about major shifts in geopolitical structures that could have been easily avoided if not for the incredible levels of corruption, greed and stupidity of the Baby Boomer establishment over the last two decades.

Uranus' transit in Aries in square aspect to Pluto's transit in tropical Capricorn features a time of intense struggles within nations. It features social stresses due to economic austerity measures that threaten the peace of communities because the effects of the Banking Crisis and Panic of 2008.

We are seeing this develop in countries such as Greece. More nations will join movements calling for the removal of entire governments because of nation-wide austerity measures reminiscent of the Great Depression years of the 1930s.

Civil disturbances, rampant crime, communities in uprisings and revolts with multiple changes of coalition governments are highlighted for nations.

The square between Uranus/Pluto features power struggles, along with pending revolutionary sentiments with great disruptions in society resulting in accidents, struggles and deaths from violent civil battles taking place against governments and perceived authority figures deemed responsible for the economic crisis.

Financial losses - from personal to corporate - increase under this Uranus/Pluto square. Dangerous situations can arise because of all the public disturbances. Take care in crowds, especially during protests, as things can easily get out of hand.

Most of the revolutionary sentiments between 2012-2015 stem directly from the avoidance of facing the root causes of the economic crisis in the year 2007-2012, so that by the time Uranus begins its first series of squares to Pluto - tensions will begin to rise exponentially towards the middle years of the decade.

The best way to deal with this strong cardinal square is to adjust as best one can to those changes that cannot be avoided while at the same time noting the opportunities that will present themselves by the new changes.

Tactics

I know how difficult my forecast is for some people. It is never easy to report that things may become worse when things are already bad enough.

However, it is vital for anyone reading my forecast to understand, and accept the fact of planetary inclinations that will correlate to further unfavorable events on Earth - and to prepare for them.

It is impossible to avoid the large-scale forces that have caused the second Great Depression in this new decade. Much of the damage has already been done.

Socially, people who are affected by such severe economic downturns often become depressed, easily irritated, frustrated, and prone to distractions. Others respond by joining ideologically-hostile groups/organizations that cast blame according to ideology - which often feature right-wing fanatics looking to cause trouble.

Ideology by an aging generational establishment rooted in outworn methods, greed, and corruption have done so much systemic damage that unless this generation is removed from policy-making and financial decisions - all is lost and we can expect unemployment rates far above 10 percent to last for much of the new decade.

According to my calculations, it will be the year 2018 by the time unemployment is under 5% in the United States.

This means that over the next 7-8 years, expect high rates of joblessness to be countered with peaks and valleys of rising and falling employment unless radical changes are made towards getting tens of millions people back to work with the nation's credit system fully repaired and functioning as it should.

It is not difficult to image this considering that the same people and ideology that has been part of the generational establishment over the last 18 years continues to bar any attempts to fix the nation and its woes.

Why would a Baby Boomer establishment believe that destroying the lives of tens of million of people will improve their own lot in life?

Are they still until the illusion that an economic recovery will happen magically with all restored as if nothing ever happened?

The Baby Boomer bankers sitting on hundreds of billions of dollars while foreclosing on millions of Americans do not have the good interests of the country in their hearts and minds. That much is certain.

Because prior warnings were ignored with safeguards such as 1933's Glass-Steagall Banking Act removed in 1999 - there isn't much that can be done to restore the public confidence in government, Wall Street, and international banking for some time to come.

At least not until the safeguards are put back in place and those responsible for the crisis are brought to justice.

I am forecasting that this is exactly what will happen by the year 2012-13 - that the vital safeguards such as the Banking Act of 1933 will be restored; but the damage will have already been done.

What to do?

Tactics include preparing oneself mentally, physically, and spiritually for a challenging 10-12 years ahead. I am forecasting that the decade of the 2010s will lead to, in some cases, restrictive governments, and an attempt to have the world under one major currency by the year 2020.

This attempt will only cause more rebellion, revolts and revolutions in countries and will be fought by those who believe that evil forces who do not have the best interests of anyone in mind will try to impose their will on the collective people of the planet.

The generational transition will begin in 2010, and will be completed between the years 2012-15, in varying degrees and levels worldwide. For the most part, the Baby Boomer generation is out of time, and have lost their clout due to their own failures to plan for the future.

Little can be done for a generation that squandered the last 18 years living high on the hog of the resources of others while doing nothing to prepare for the future.

That future is now here.

Individual Baby Boomers who desire to survive the next decade must begin to take their retirements seriously, and admit the abject failure of their own generation so they are able to leave behind the fantasy of eternal youth and get with the practical realities of aging, which is natural.

For those who look to make changes to face the 2010s,

Among the best tactics are -

  • Know your Personal Transits
  • Know your Friends
  • Avoid Toxic personalities & organizations
  • Gather up & relocate to geographic regions suited best to your personal transits
  • Avoid dangerous ideologies & Cult Groups
  • Start new careers
  • Be Positive, But Realistic, Avoid False Positivism
  • Work with people in your own age group
  • Teach & Train younger people
  • Build Positive Communities
  • Form Community banks
The Cardinal Climax transits is simply the start of a contentious age where a generational transition that arrives naturally has been turned into a great crisis based on an establishment that failed in all ways to perform what each generation should - to ease the way into the future - not destroy opportunities for the following generations.

The best way to survive will be to be wholly creative, active, and foresighted in developing new ways and tactics to make the transition less painful.

This will not be easy, nor will it be without drama, due to the immense failures of the Baby Boomer generation to think of anyone else except themselves.

Warnings On July & August 2010

The Cardinal Climax transits are real, and many people will allow themselves to be inclined by these global transits to the point of suffering - primarily by accidents caused by shortsightedness and impulsive behavior that impacts the lives of other people.

Most of the energies will be observed as reactionary sentiments, so, think of anyone who is already prone to such behaviors that are impulsive, simplistic, and emotional, and then square that by a factor of about 5, and there you have the Cardinal Climax.

I have been warning about this recently for over a year now. The cardinal inclinations of the T-square is now about five (5) months away, so there still is time to prepare.

As much as I hate to be a party-pooper when it comes to summer fun, I continue to warn anyone who will listen that this is not the summer for fun - but for exercising caution.

This particular summer season of 2010 is dangerous according to my reading of global transits. These transits are quite strong, and impulsive individuals and groups will suffer because of their carelessness.

The months of July & August 2010 are highlighted as the most significant months for danger.

Forewarned is forearmed.
  • Do Not Travel By Air, Land, Or Sea
  • Watch your Physical activities
  • Use Care on the Roads
  • Head Injuries & Drowning Accidents Spike
  • Take No Chances With Machinery & Weapons
  • Avoid Boats & Cruise Ships
  • Stay close to home in Summer 2010
  • Caution Around Wild Animals
  • Use extreme Caution Around Bodies of Water, Including Pools
  • Guard Your Family & Children
The best thing one can do is to gently remind and to warn friends and family to steer clear of taking part in activities that surely will end in tragedies for many people over the summer months in northern hemisphere only to be followed by a depressing fall season of regrets, what-ifs, and recriminations.

Use the months before the Cardinal Climax transits to plan accordingly, and then to take time off to stay low-key, quiet, and stick close to home. Be calm during the height of the transits during July, August, and September 2010.

Most of all - avoid reactionary impulses and think well before you act.

Choose activities that do not involve taking chances physically, nor take part in situations and activities around crowds of people; especially those that involve travel as well as activities in and around bodies of water - even swimming pools will be dangerous this summer.

Parents should keep a close watch over their children this summer. Take nothing at face value. Take nothing for granted. Impulse runs high, and accidents will ruin families. Accidents and drownings will be unusually frequent this summer.

Staying at home is best. The kids will not like it, but you will sleep better at night knowing that they are safe and sound.

This coming summer is the season to be the helicopter mom and dad and to hover over them to keep your children on a very short leash for their safety's sake and for your peace of mind.

It is not the season to ship the kids off to summer camp. They are much better off at home and within your daily sights. This is not the summer to let your guard down - but to keep it up. It only takes one event to change everything.

Global transits are that tight and that unfavorable.

Since most children had many snow days off after the winter blizzards of 2010, this summer can be used to continue their education at home to make up for the lost school days.

Believe it or not that will be the best way to safeguard your children. While the kids will not like it, they will be spared the accidents that will befall other children (with some losing limbs and lives) because of the strong cardinal transits of summer 2010.

The summer transits of 2011 are much better, so it is worthwhile to wait until next summer to enjoy that season to make up for this summer.

However, the summer of 2010 is not a summer to take your eyes off your kids for a second, but to keep them close to home and to monitor their daily activities - particularly in July and August 2010.

Relax, chill out, and observe your local, regional, and international news during the Cardinal crisis transits and see for yourself.

Generation X As Establishment: 2011 - 2030

Talk about a freaking workload.

Yes, it's nearly that time to pull out the blueprints.

And boy, are there a lot of blueprints.

By this time next year, a new generation will become the new ruling establishment.

Talk about having a life? That life ahead is so full of work that having any kind of a life will require a lifetime of even more work.

Over the next 20 years, Generation X will be the establishment that will have to lead the charge into the new decades of the 2010s and 2020s.

And, the generation must lead this charge with a smile - not a grumpy growl - on its collective face.

Or else, all is lost.

We're not there yet, but if Generation X does not get off to a great start, and maintain a proactive attitude throughout - then surely, the end really is near.

Let us count some of the problems Generation X has to tackle:

  • Double-digit unemployment with millions out of work
  • A near-depression era Economy
  • Residential & Commercial Collapse
  • Incompetent Boomer executives destroying companies while reaping millions in bonuses
  • A crumbling national infrastructure
  • Raging national deficits
  • States Going Broke
  • Schools falling apart
  • Rising Divorces & war against the Middle Class
  • Communities deteriorating
  • Health care costs out of control
  • University tuition out of reach with millions of students in debt before they graduate
  • Both major political parties stuck in outworn Boomer ideology
  • Washington D.C. dysfunctional, cynical, stagnated & bought off
  • Corrupted Wall Street & greedy financial system
  • Cynicism, ideology destroying arts, culture & science
  • An aging population in denial & unprepared for being elderly
And that's just for starters.

The hands of Generation X is so chock full of this complete mess left over from the Baby Boomer generation that it boggles the mind. Here has been a "youth obsessed" generation that has made no preparation for retirement because they did not believe they would ever retire.

All generations must retire. It is a natural law. No nation can survive by hiring workers above the age of 62; yet, this generation of Baby Boomers says it can work forever.

I say that is total bunk.

This generation has been in total denial and wholly self-interested in only themselves to the point of driving the entire globe into an economic black hole and geopolitical madness simply because they feared getting older? Something that is natural and happens to all people?

What has made Baby Boomers any different?

One of the biggest lies that is still pandered about by media and government sources is that the Baby Boomer generation extends into the year 1964. This is simply not true - and never was.

I remember back in the early 1990s when the term "Baby Boomer" gained traction among editors so that the years used to define a Baby Boomer was from 1940 to 1953.

Then, curiously, I began to notice something really funny going on. Each year the reported numbers showed that the Boomers were getting magically younger as the birth years for that generation went further - 1954, 55, 56, 57, 58, to 1959.

Those middle years from 1954-59 were years that the post-Boomers were born, called Generation Jones. This was the generation Boomers' cynically told "were not there" - meaning they were literally not physically at the counter-culture revolution and could not get drafted into the Vietnam War. There is a reason for this.

Generation Jones "wasn't there" because they were in elementary school at the time.

Generation Jones (1954-1960) was too young to quit college, don hippie hair, smoke pot, ingest LSD, and "drop out" on their way to San Fransisco during the Summer of Love.

So, they were "not there" literally because Generation Jones were in fact still underage children. This group did not come of age until the mid-1970s. Think Madonna and Michael Jackson, who were born in 1958.

As the millennium approached, the Baby Boomer generation years extended into another decade - 1960, 61, 62, 63, 64, and yes, even to 1965 and 1966. Boy, the tail end of this generation just seemed to be going, and going, and going - getting younger all the time.

Wow. A first in the history of humanity. A generation that never ages.

The Baby Boomer generation now extended a full 24 years from the time that the first Baby Boomer was born so that a child born in 1939 and one born in 1964 shared the same common life experiences?

Come on.

Then, it began to back off a bit, and settled at 1962, then, about 2002, it went back to 1963, then, finally to 1964, when it stands at today.

Now, what this has shown is that the Baby Boomers who made all this up - the lie that their generation continued to be born into the 1960s - were scared of one thing, and one thing only.

Getting older.

I remembered that the Baby Boomer generation was the one that pitched the saying, "Don't trust anyone over 30."

I always thought that was strange. What do you do when you yourself turn 30 years old? Stop trusting yourself?

I started getting advanced warnings of the Boomer fear of "growing up" when a television show called Thirtysomething was on the air in America in the 1980s. It seemed to play on the theme that being over the age of 30 was terrible. They were depressed all the time it appeared.

Even the music played during episodes would give me a headache. I stopped watching the show after it became obvious to me that these people were all in a huff about nothing at all. I changed channel and went back to listening to Simple Minds on my Sony Walkman.

The angst exhibited in the Boomer writing through the characters of Thirtysomething treated being over 30 as if it were the end of the world. See - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkDIlAdrBT0&feature=related

Now, mind you, I was in my early 20s in the 1980s, so I could not relate to what was so terrible about being over the age of 30. When I got there, I found that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. So what gives?

Anyhow, the Boomer extension into the 1960s was included in official government data, but, was only the musings of Boomer newspaper editors afraid of the word "retirement." You see, by clasping one's hands over one's eyes, and saying "no" - that way, I can feel younger by pretending my generation is so large that it continued to be born in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s.

But, if I cannot have anything in common with children born in the 1960s, what do I do?

Well, all you have to do is to "fudge" the numbers, see?

That way, you can continue to feel as if you really are younger (as you age that is) and claim that you were born in 1963 or 1964, and still experienced the Beatles, the Summer of Love and Woodstock (at the ages of 4, 5, and 6 years old) while retaining your eternal youth.

That way, you can make it appear as if your youth-drug-and sex-obsessed generation is larger than another, so then you can suck up all their resources, include those birth numbers into your own generation, but pretending that that generation does not exist at all in some kind of grand design of desire to remain eternally young?

That is, while also having outright disdain and hostility for anyone who is actually younger than you are.

Fudging the true numbers seems to be a very popular thing with Baby Boomers. All you have to do is look at Climategate, and the other occupations where playing funny funny with the real data to match your own fears, predispositions and ideologies seems to have been the way to go for this generation.

The generation born from 1961 to 1975 is Generation X.

There were no Baby Boomers born in the 1960s. None. Generation X is a larger generation that Baby Boomers, but, let's not say anything about that because then, of course, the truth would actually be known and all would fail.

The true length of every generation is 14 years. That means that the Baby Boomers (yes there were children born during the Second World War) were born between 1939-1953. A 14-year span of time.

The first wave of Generation X - the incoming new establishment - born in the early to mid-1960s is about to enter power. We've seen this in the 2008 election of President Barack Obama, who is clearly born a member of Generation X.

There is so much that is about to be demanded from Generation X that if you are one of these people - it is time to build up your muscles, and take your vitamins daily - because the world is going to need every ounce of creative juice, energy, and stamina you are able to muster.

And it better be a lot of juice.

Wacky Acts & Baby Boomer Angst

In the years from 2011 to 2030, Generation X will be the establishment that must not only lead the world out of its economic crisis, but also must forge a new vision for this new century.

There is this odd gap in time going back in memories of the mid-to-late 1970s, when Generation X seemed invisible as the Baby Boomers gave up on rock-and-roll and embraced Disco.

I remember it well. It was a time where nearly all Boomers disappeared into their new jobs during the days only to don funny looking outfits to dance several nights during the week to this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0fB0GZVxhI

Generation X was too young to participate in that scene, and frankly, hated Disco and everything it stood for. We sensed that something was wrong in society, and Gen X was right because around the corner was a deep recession which started in 1980-81, which was the year Disco died.

In the darkening days of November 1980, Ronald Reagan and the conservatives were elected with less than 43% of the vote as the Baby Boomer generation continued in their cocaine-fueled disco haze but forgot to vote for the next president.

So, as teens in 1979-80, Generation X battened down the hatches and took part in New Wave music. We knew the 1980s was not going to be easy and hoped that we would be able to survive it all.

We did, but this also represents what the scene was with new wave Gen X at that time in 1979-80. We were under no illusions about what was happening and took the Boomers' love of disco as a smoke-screen sign of the coming times.

Generation X was anti-disco. Everything about the Boomers' disco was fake to Generation X and to the actual times. We smelled a wolf in sheep's clothing, and so turned disco into a Gen X view of what we felt going on around all of us. Watch on a full computer screen, and note the torn clothing, holes in clothes, and the message about the Disco times of 1979-80. See - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwqYsoDqbCQ&feature=related

Mark Bauerlein of Emory University, and author of The Dumbest Generation - How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future, says that as children Generation X got the short end of the stick -

"Quite simply, they were children at a uniquely unfavorable moment -- a time when the divorce rate accelerated, when the media image of children turned demonic and when the "latch-key" lesson for kids stressed self-reliance rather than trust in others.

By the time they entered middle and high school, classrooms were opened, standards were lowered, and supervision had disappeared.

Early Xers have certain strengths that many more learned people lack: They're practical and resilient, they handle risk well, and they know how to improvise when even the experts don't know the answer.

As the global economy craters, they won't keep leafing through a textbook. They may be a little rough around the edges, but their style usually gets the job done."

One member of Generation X responded to Bauerlein's thoughts -

"So let me get this straight, the dope-smoking hippies did everything they could to destroy education with student's rights, open campuses and imaginary grades and when the next generation bore the brunt of all this stupidity it's that generation's fault?

Graduating in the early 80's sucked ass. They whine that my generation didn't go to grad school but the hippies only when to stay out of the war and by the late 70's and early 80's no one's parents had the money to afford it.

Don't worry about my "dumb" generation. The coming recession will separate the wheat from the chaff and quiet a few Boomers are about to find that their careers are now over whether they like it or not.

My generation has always lived with risk. We have always been distrustful of corporations and government. There are no easy answers and hopefully the boomers get the F out of the way finally and let some people that weren't raised on 'Leave it to Beaver' and 'Father Knows Best' deal with the real world and not some 1950's echo that may have never existed in the first place."

Clearly, the Baby Boomers, who heralded the "new millennium" back in the year 2000 with wacky Jetson-world like cartoon mutterings about what the world would look like by 2010, were obviously out of their minds.

This year, 2010 looks more like 1930 rather than like, well, 2010.

After 18 years of this generation running the show as the establishment, the United States and the world has experienced the market Boomer bubbles of unparalleled heights, and now, the unparalleled lows of Boomer bubbles bursting.

And, in a big Baby Boomer way - which is an understatement to say the least.

All this featuring a widespread cynical political correctness that infected everything: from the kind of coffee you consume (and how you drink it) to trying to ban smoking outside; to the kind of car you drive, to how you feel about Bill Clinton's and Tiger Wood's marital indiscretions.

This, from a generation that worshiped marijuana, cocaine, and multiple hits of LSD and who preached free love and free drugs to the tune of "light it up" and "right on man?"

We've had enough of the cultural and gender wars. The Vagina Chronicles, Cash for Clunkers, Viagra, Botox, Plastic Surgery, and Tea Party rantings.

We've had enough of ideology posing as "climate change" with revelations that global weather data was trashed and substituted with "carbon credits" and ideological careerism posing as objective science?

This is the generation that freaked out at the sight of Janet Jackson's exposed bare breast and came to replace her with the senior-citizen band The Who performing at a Super Bowl's halftime show?

And we've heard plenty about Woodstock and how Baby Boomers invented Civil Rights, the Internet, and Women's Rights when history says otherwise.

Can anyone say, Enough already?

All this in the middle of an historic global and national crisis not seen since the Great Depression?

From drugging schoolchildren with psychotropic drugs, to banning students from "high-fiving" one another, prohibiting "touching" and/or any physical contact between students; closing down gym classes, art classes, music classes, and going so far as to ban "kick ball" during school recess - baby boomers have clearly lost any semblance of common sense, reality and feeling good about life in general.

Professional astrologers know all about something we call projection. This is when an individual, or a group, or, a generation casts its own problems, negativity and fears onto the other.

In this way, the individual, the group, or the generation does then not have to face whatever it is that they fear within themselves.

In this case, it is easier to project onto anyone younger than you, and to treat them badly enough so that you can feel good about yourself and remain in denial?

Projections are always bad news. Depending on the natal and progressed transits, the strength or weakness of any kind of projection depend on those doing it.

It shows that whomever is projecting seriously is avoiding their own internal issues, but, by default, as if a reflex, the blame that is cast onto the other is externalized into the physical world and hurts the other for no other reason but to not deal with the projector's problem.

This not only causes pain for the innocent other, but it never solves what is clearly the problem of the projector - not facing truth.

Obviously, this is not only very wrong, but it is also sick, is it not?

Here are two examples to prove my point -

In early February 2010, a 12-year old girl named Alexa Gonzalez, from Queens, N.Y., was arrested for "doodling" on her school desk by her Baby Boomer teachers.

Yes, this actually happened.

These Boomer attacks on those younger then them has been going on for years -

"Alexa is the latest in a string of city students who have been cuffed for minor infractions. In 2007, a 13-year-old was placed under arrest for writing "okay" on her desk at Intermediate School 201. And in 2008, 5-year-old was cuffed and sent to a psych ward after throwing a fit in his kindergarten.

Here's another Boomer-related story similar to the first:

A class action lawsuit was filed by a Pennsylvania family against the Lower Merion School District for installing hidden cameras inside school-issued Macintosh laptops that were then given to schoolchildren:

"A Lower Merion family has set off a furor among students, parents, and civil liberties groups by alleging that Harriton High School officials used a webcam on a school-issued laptop to spy on their 15-year-old son at home," according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

"The suit says that in November [2009]assistant principal Lynn Matsko called in sophomore Blake Robbins and told him that he had 'engaged in improper behavior in his home,' and cited as evidence a photograph from the webcam in his school-issued laptop."

"Matsko later told Robbins' father, Michael, that the district 'could remotely activate the webcam contained in a student's personal laptop... at any time it chose and to view and capture whatever images were in front of the webcam' without the knowledge or approval of the laptop's users, the suit says. It does not say what improper activity Robbins was accused of or what, if any, discipline resulted."

"It’s as if the roller coaster ride of the late 1960s and early 1970s left the Boomers emotionally depleted, says Kai Wright, a senior writer for The Root, "And they spent the next 30 years refusing to create anything, stuck competing with one another over who could be the most orthodox.

Instead, Wright points out, "the feel-good generation morphed into one defined by greed, selfishness and bursts of anger. By the 1980s, Jerry Garcia was out and Gordon Gekko was in. The Cold War ended and a hot one soon replaced it.

"The sexual revolution gave way to a sexually transmitted plague that everyone chose to ignore rather than confront. They stopped worrying about Mother Earth and started fetishizing ex-urban McMansions and SUVs.

"Even the Left hunched down into a permanently reactionary posture, constantly defending the gains of the civil rights era rather than working to adapt and build upon them.

"Perhaps nothing revealed this so much as the spectacle of old-line black politicians, who had cut their teeth on revolution, failing to understand the uprising that Barack Obama’s presidential campaign represented.

"The disastrous first decade of the 21st century is the predictable outcome of this Boomer stagnation and self-destruction," Wright says.

"A country can export only so much strife and war-making before it blows back. A survival-of-the-fittest economy will eventually destroy itself."

Just What Is The Problem With the Baby Boomer Generation?

The ending of the "Boomer angst" means that a significant cultural tidal wave is surely on the horizon, and cannot arrive fast enough in present times.

Many people have expressed their outright disgust with the rampant cynicism, negativity, and emotional turmoil of an entire generation that sees growing older as the worse thing that could ever occur, when it is simply a natural part of human life.

Here is what sociologist Professor Mike Males thinks has been going on:

"I found the biggest clue in Margaret Mead’s cogent little 1970 book, (Culture and Commitment.) The sum of her argument was that we adults adapted for millennia to traditional, unchanging "post-figurative" cultures comfortably controlled by elder knowledge.

From the advantaged vantage of 2007, I’d say Mead’s worst fears turned out to be spectacularly right, which no doubt would have dismayed her. I suspect James Baldwin would also be deeply disappointed in how 1960s black youth aged. Baby Boomers, black and white, are a terrible generation, a betrayal of America worse than anyone could have predicted."

Suddenly, in the space of a couple of generations, once-stable cultures have been rocked by global migration and technological advances, yielding constantly shifting "co--figurative" (peer dominated) and "pre--figurative" (youth dominated) subcultures to which youth were better adapted than their elders.

"Mead predicted adults weren’t going to take their demotion to obsolescence very well. She feared that in the near future, adults would come to fear the unfamiliar new attitudes and behaviors of modern, diverse youth "like an invading army," institute often "bizarre" repressions aimed at forcibly restoring the imagined stability of the past, and, at worst, abandon the young altogether.

"Baldwin, writing from his deeply pessimistic angle (see No Name in the Street, 1972), also got it: social and racial change are heralding dynamic new challenges speeding up time itself in ways even the kindliest old can’t fathom

"Mead and Baldwin figured out 35 years ago why American adults would come to hate young people so poisonously," Males says. "Mead was optimistic; give us a generation or two, we’ll adapt to change just as we once did to tradition; Baldwin feared we’d just come apart and put his money on young African Americans as the best hope for the future.

"By her 1978 update, Mead was becoming gloomier: the young Baby Boomers she’d hoped for were souring, their parents were not adapting, and only a conscious effort would prevent "runaway feedback" that would jeopardize the whole planet.

"Thirty years ago, Mead wrote that adults in societies experiencing rapid social change automatically fear youths as symbols of an alien, menacing future older age groups don't comprehend. While must cultures have taken steps to keep generations connected, Americans -- experiencing not just social, but racial evolution -- have let fear and hostility toward youth rage out of control.

"Today's American adults are irrationally afraid of youths and imagine that young people -- particularly in cities and states in which aging adults are white and youths are increasingly non-white -- harbor unheard of dangers and threats. Private industries have arisen to profit from grownup fright toward the young and advance their interests by inflaming them further.

As a result, virtually every American social problem today -- drugs, drinking, smoking, violence, crime, guns, imprisonment, AIDS, obesity, poverty, anti-social behavior, bad moral values -- are quickly converted into epidemics caused by youths. Private and political interests across the spectrum push their own solutions to punish, manage and redirect the supposedly out-of-control young.

"In reality, however, every standard measure shows that it is not teenagers but aging baby boomers who are causing today's most serious, fastest-growing problems with drug addiction, crime, imprisonment, AIDS, and family and community disarray. Because the older generation refuses to face its problems, it inflicts especially vicious stigmas and dis-investments on younger generations.

As a result of rising adult paranoia that has no basis in reality, America is in a punishing, terrified rage against youths -- one, unfortunately, fed by interests from left to right across the spectrum. I spent a lot of time in "Scapegoat Generation" (1996) and "Framing Youth" (1999) showing that nearly all the imagined youth crises of today -- from guns to heroin to suicide -- are hallucinations. They simply do not exist, and the big problems are among the middle-agers.

It is a disgraceful situation, and both the war on drugs and its reformist opponents advance their goals by deploying the worst disinformation about youth while ignoring the crisis of addiction, crime, and rigidly punishing moralism among older Americans that threaten young people far more than drugs ever did.

America's most catastrophic social crisis over the last 25 years has been the explosion in hard-drug abuse among aging baby boomers. More than 100,000 Americans over age 30 have died from overdoses of illegal drugs since 1980, and untold thousands more have died from illicit-drug effects, such as accidents and chronic abuse, and millions have been hospitalized in drug emergencies.

Today the fastest growing population in terms of drug abuse, criminal arrest for violent, property, and drug offenses, and imprisonment are [baby boomers] mostly white. This middle-aged crisis underlies a parallel explosion in felony crime and imprisonment, family violence and community disruption, and drug-supply gangs whose conflicts have contributed to the murders of thousands of inner-city young men at the street level of drug distribution. The most recent federal Drug Abuse Warning Network figures, for 2001 and 2002, show drug abuse deaths and hospital emergencies are at record levels, worse than at any time in known history.

Yet no one -- certainly not the drug war, and bafflingly not reformers -- mentions this middle-aged drug crisis, which has skyrocketed every year as the drug war has escalated. Instead, drug reform groups have tamely gone along with the drug war's hysterical obsession with whether a few teens smoke pot, which is a non-issue. Teens comprise perhaps 2% of America's drug problem, but 90% of the raging controversy over drug use. That is scapegoating."

Generation X To The Rescue?

One of the first things that will have to happen as Generation X completes the generational transition now underway is to remove the dark clouds of Boomer angst hanging over the world and replace it with a much more positive outlook on the future.

This is something sorely lacking in the attitudes of the Boomer generation today. Many boomers have said their own generation "blew it," big time, in the words of Stephen King, who, like others of his generation, have said about what Boomers have done to the world during their time as the establishment. Others have apologized, while still other Boomers remain silent, choosing not to notice the obvious.

This generational transition officially begins March 2011, when global transits reveal the emergence of the first wave of the children born in the 1960s entering power.

These first wave children of the 1960s are now in their mid-to-late 40s, and represent the first significant generational change from a Boomer-led establishment to a Generation X-led establishment.

One of the major goals will be ignite a positive resurgence and belief in the American spirit in the United States and bring an end to the cynical political correctness and polarization that have for too long dominated popular consent in the country.

The new establishment of Generation X will extend through the 2010s, which is a challenging decade enough as it already stands, and into the 2020s, which, if we are lucky, will see the effects of a positive revival of a proactive "can-do" spirit that ushers the world into the 21st century, rather than backwards into the last century.

The Baby Boomers, as the establishment, have clearly wasted a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity over the last 18 years to make good on their own cherished ideals.

By engaging in never-ending cultural/gender/ideological wars they have not only alienated two generations behind them, but have sealed their own fate as the senior citizens they have been in denial about.

"So here we are, at the end of a decade in which our national rot has finally shown through, with Generation X rising to political and cultural leadership," Wright says.

"As we Gen Xers made our first entrance into the culture, we were widely maligned as disengaged, unambitious couch potatoes.

"We dropped out of school, played video games and blasted anti-establishment hip-hop and grunge music -- or so went the caricature.

"The question is, however, what kind of generation we have become? Will we be the generation that makes the promise of the Obama revolution real?"

Time will soon tell, and that time is right around the corner.
